Adidas has been exploring the full breadth of the tonal spectrum since the introduction of its Trae Young 2 shoe last October. Typically, the Player Exclusive color blockings have worked in unison with Young’s uniform on any given night. Young has now readied the release of his latest colorway in tune with the Hawks’ first-round playoff matchup. The upcoming pitch-dark ensemble is a perfect pairing with the Hawks’ current statement edition jerseys, and Young has worn it on a number of occasions throughout the regular season.
The SCK360 knit upper of the shoe is predominantly dipped in pitch-black hues, with the heel’s stitched brick layer accent introducing a vibrant “Better Scarlett” to the fold. The crimson shade is color-matched through the semi-translucent mid-foot shank and stripes at the tread. The forefoot’s Adilette-inspired 3-Stripes render a titular infusion of “Bold Gold” in connection to the A’s mainstay color-wheel contrast.
