Last summer, slide sandals and clogs were all the rage, and nearly every brand had their own version. ASICS was no exception, as they released the ACTIBREEZE 3D Sandal in an all-black colorway. Now, a few seasons later, the model is back and available in a more season-appropriate “Mako Blue” colorway.
Unlike the slides designed by fashion-focused brands like adidas Yeezy, Salehe Bembury, and Crocs, the ACTIBREEZE 3D Sandal is not made with fashion in mind. Instead, this model is designed to aid in post-run recovery, with a parametrically-designed construction that offers zoned comfort and enhanced breathability. The 3D-printed upper, which features a lattice structure visible throughout the entire shoe, also helps to relax the wearer’s body and feet.
The ASICS ACTIBREEZE 3D Slide in “Mako Blue” is currently available in Australia, and it likely won’t be long before we see pairs on ASICS.com in the United States. In other ASICS news, official images of the tea-inspired GEL-LYTE III Rooibos have just been released.
