Official images have emerged of the remastered version of the Air Max 1 ’86 “Sport Royal.” Anticipated for release on or around Air Max Day, these are set to launch alongside the neon-soled pair previously spotted on LeBron James. As March kicks off, so does the celebration of all things AIR, leading up to key releases around March 26th, 2024. While the Air Max Dn is positioned as this year’s notable debut, the spotlight also shines on the original that initiated the entire culture.
In 2014, Nike marked the first-ever Air Max Day by releasing the original Air Max 1 “Sport Red,” featuring a neon volt midsole and “3.26” on the tongue label (refer to the gallery below to revisit). For 2024, Nike revisits this concept on the Air Max 1 ’86, opting for the original “Sport Royal” colorway.
Recently, LeBron James was spotted wearing the upcoming sneaker during his pre-game walk into the arena. Furthermore, @tomasterrr on Instagram shared additional images of the shoes.
While a release date remains unconfirmed, the launch is expected to coincide with or be near March 26th, 2024.
