Jay Chou’s PHANTACi and PUMA have had a long-standing relationship in the sneaker industry, collaborating with other major brands such as Nike, New Balance, and Reebok. After some time since their last collaboration, the two have come together again to work on PUMA’s iconic Suede silhouette.
While the original design remains mostly unchanged, the PHANTACi x PUMA Suede takes some creative liberties with the material used. The shoe removes most of the suede construction from the upper, only keeping the Formstripe in the original material. Instead, a premium navy-colored leather covers most of the shoe. The branding and lateral zipper are gold in color and match perfectly with the navy leather.
The PHANTACi x PUMA Suede will release on April 8th at PHANTACi’s retail locations and on their website. In other sneaker news, the COMME des GARCONS Nike Terminator is set to release on April 1st.
