In mid-February, Reebok announced the launch of their “Pump Universe” collection, a lineup of retro silhouettes reimagined with the brand’s signature Pump technology. Chapter 1 kicked off with the Shaq Victory Pump, which imagined Shaquille O’Neal as a tennis player, and the Allen Iverson-inspired Question Mid. Now, the next installment arrives on April 22nd with two new color blockings.
The Question Mid Pump takes the imaginative upper of the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II and applies it to Allen Iverson’s signature Reebok Question from his rookie season. The iconic white/black/orange color blocking from the 1991 Dunk Contest Championship is flipped and applied to the Question Mid Pump’s neutral-toned upper, which sits atop a semi-translucent gum sole.
The second shoe in this release plays with the concept of a 7’1″ Shaquille O’Neal competing in the Wimbledon Championship against Michael Chang. The Reebok Shaq Attaq is reimagined for the pitch with a racquet in hand, combining with the Court Victory II tennis silhouette. The shoe features a black base with blue and green accents, reminiscent of an OG colorway from 2009, and a revised tennis logo on the heel counter.
