In March, SHOES MASTER gave a sneak peek of Ronnie Fieg’s upcoming collaboration with New Balance: a set of 998s. After much anticipation, the KITH founder has finally revealed the details of the project, which was created in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 998 “Broadacre City” pays tribute to the 35th anniversary of the silhouette and Wright’s concept of a more self-sufficient way of living, where families are given one acre of land for their home and food cultivation.
Fieg’s interpretation of the concept is purely aesthetic, as the two 998s feature colorways inspired by the physical model’s buildings and landscape. The New Balance 998 “Broadacre City” will have three different releases. The first will be available at KITH Tokyo on April 14th, followed by a second drop on April 15th at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s on-site experience in Scottsdale, Arizona. The shoes will be available through all KITH shops and online on April 17th.
