Gucci has announced a special collaboration with Vans, the original action sports brand, under the banner of “Gucci Continuum” for Spring 2023. The five-pair capsule collection features iconic Vans silhouettes such as the Old Skool, Slip-On, and Mule, each reimagined with a Gucci touch. While maintaining the “Off the Wall” DNA of Vans, the creative teams from both brands have covered premium leather and canvas uppers with patterns and materials from the Gucci archives. The collection includes “mismatched” arrangements featuring floral prints with studded checkerboard patterns as nods to Vans’s early days of custom-made shoes. All styles are unisex and packaged in boxes inspired by Vans’ customs from the 1960s. The repurposed fabrics used across each classic design come from past Gucci collections. The collection is now available on Gucci’s website and ranges between $290 USD and $380 USD.
